Of course you can, but I don’t recommend it.
Remember, she doesn’t know what you know. So if you really want her to, make sure she is participating on LinkedIn as herself. “Ghosting” or having someone act as you on social media works with some things, but LinkedIn is not one of them. Having someone “ghost” for you can actually hurt your personal reputation as well as your company’s brand.
It’s an unnecessary risk to take. While it may save you a few minutes here and there it could have devastating effects later when it is revealed—and it always is.
The best part of social media is that there is no beginning and there is no end—it truly is up and running 24-hours a day. And it does not matter what time you are active because the people you interact with will get the message whenever it is that they get on next. So put the LinkedIn app on your phone and use it between meetings or when your 2 o’clock is running late or if you can’t sleep jump onto LinkedIn for a few minutes and see what is going on.
Social media doesn’t have to run your life, but it does have the potential to work for you.
